annual state TANF spending plan and the bi-annual state
TANF/Work First plan.
Work
First Program- cash and employment assistance
program for poor families. Primary focus includes legislative
and agency policy-making, Work First data and evaluation,
and program implementation.
Food
Stamp Program- reauthorization of federal food
stamp law in 2002, state food stamp policy, monitoring North
Carolina food stamp, nutrition and hunger data, and program
implementation
Unemployment
Insurance Benefits program- program implementation,
maintenance of the Unemployment Insurance trust fund, and
legislative and agency policy-making.
